He was predeceased by: his parents, John Confer and Ilene Confer (Baker); his former wife Joan Confer (Kukla); his wife Patricia Confer (Periard); his sisters, Patsy Guoan and Bonnie Lutz (William); and his stepson David Heim.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Snyder (Kevin) and Dale Confer (Kelly); his grandchildren, Kristen Confer, Aaron Snyder and Katherine Bender (Jason); his great grandchild Adelyn Mae Bender; his stepchildren, Kenneth Heim, Carl Heim (Grace) and Linda Conger (David); his stepdaughter-in-law Carol Gehringer; his stepgrandchildren, Eric Heim (Lauren), Brandon Conger, Nicole Savage (David) and Kyle Conger (Kendra); and his brother-in-law Rondell Guoan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
