“Lavon was a beautiful soul and dear friend of the Bailey family. He was our "go to," guy when we desired a soloist for our Church anniversary events. My wife affectionately called him, Lou Rawls, because of his smooth, confident, and eloquent manner in presenting his selection. The world was absolutely made a better place by his friendly and fun filled presence, during his short stay of only 77 years. He knew that we loved him. That love did not pass away: it lives in every joyous reflection.”
