He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Melvin Heffelbower and Luella Heffelbower (Chase); his former wife Vera Ruth Heffelbower (Benn); his son Ronald Lee Heffelbower (Katie Bowler); his wife Dorothy Ann "Dottie" Heffelbower; and his grandchildren, Robert Karow, James Heffelbower (Stormy), Matthew George, Marissa George and Kadin Oberdorf. He was also cherished by several great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
