She was predeceased by: her husband John D. DeGroot; her parents, Peter T. Boelema and Elizabeth Boelema; and her sister Elene (Adrian Sytsma). She is survived by: her grandchildren, Douglas, Cindy DeGroot, Jeremy, Rebecca, Kyle, Ingrid, Trevor, Pamela, Mark Evertsberg (Kendra), Daniel, Katherine DeGroot, Danielle, Caleb Bradley, Steven, David, Michael, Saul and Patricia Plank; and her sister-in-law Betty DeJongh of Rock Rapids, Iowa. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
