He was predeceased by: his parents, Arie Schuitman and Albertha Schuitman (Geers); and his brother-in-law Lee McKay. He is survived by: his wife Jean Schuitman (Walkotten); his daughters, Jill (Phillip Dreyer) and Joy Schuitman-Collier; his son-in-law Peter Swanson; his daughter Jeana Schuitman; his grandchildren, Cameron, Margarita, Cassidy (Jay), Tyler, Carlyn, Alexandra, Victoria and Charlotte; his great grandchildren, Trystan, Ethan and Emrie; his great great grandchild Liam; his sister Myrna; his siblings-in-law, Ward Steinstra, Richard, Judith Walkotten, Ruth Walkotten and Susan McKay; and his friend Catherine Prenkert.
