She was predeceased by: her husband LaVerne; her parents, Fred Aardema and Edna Aardema; her siblings, Tom Aardema, Frederick Aardema and Vivian Bergman; and her sister-in-law Barbara Herlin.
She is survived by: her children, Rachel (Joe Rincones), Andrew (Teresa Ritzema), Julie (Robert Szarowicz) and Alex (Abelina Ritzema); her sister Myrna Householder; her siblings-in-law, Jeanne Aardema, Alton Ritzema, Dale, Dixie Ritzema, Norman and Grace Ritzema; and her cousin Cathy Oostema. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
