It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John LaFountain of Ishpeming, Michigan, born in Iron River, Michigan, who passed away on August 22, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl LaFountain and Mildred LaFountain (Olson); his wife Donna St. Onge; his brothers, Robert E. LaFountain and Richard J. LaFountain; and his brothers-in-law, LeRoy Lamminen and Danny Koski.
He is survived by: his son John A. LaFountain (Cheryl) of Ishpeming; his grandchildren, Matthew and Ryan; his son Donald LaFountain (Carol) of Longmont, CO; his grandchildren, Robyn and Todd; his son Ricky LaFountain (Sherry) of Taylor, MI; his grandchildren, Michael and Sierra; his daughter Lori Sicotte (Douglas) of Ishpeming; his grandchildren, Ashley Price (Kevin) and Chelsea Montcalm (Ross); his son Robert K. LaFountain of Marinette, WI; his stepchildren, Sara Welker (Chris) and Tori Lindmark (Ryan); his great grandchild Blake Christian; his stepgreat-grandsons, Lucas Olive, Colt and Cooper Lindmark; his sisters, Carol Lamminen of Iron River, Lois Kopidlansky (Russell) of De Pere, WI and Kay Wester (James) of Iron River; and his sisters-in-law, Lucille LaFountain of Iron River and Bonny Koski of Gwinn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
