He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Manty and Rose T. Manty (Marra); his brother Donald Manty; and his sister-in-law Becky Manty. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn L. Manty (Juntila); and his sons, Adam Manty of Ishpeming and Andrew Manty of Ishpeming. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
