He is survived by: his spouse Celicia Hupp; his former wife Brenda Bartling (David Miron) of Upper Michigan; his children, Summer Richard (Brandon) of Michigan, Justin Bartling of Iowa and Teah Hays (Zachary) of Iowa; his grandchildren, Trent Bartling, Isiah, Josef, Tyler, Jayce and Dylan Richard; his sisters, Susan VanThournout (Joe), Georgia Whaples (Larry) and Virginia Miller; his in-laws, Geraldine Kindler and Richard Kindler of Solon; his aunt Helen Rupe of Swisher, Iowa.; his nephew Darrin VanThournout; and his pet Roxy.
