He was predeceased by: his parents, Reginald Tippett and Lillian Tippett (Tremain); his son William; his brother Charles; and his brothers-in-law, Emil Sabol and Leo Rands.

He is survived by: his spouse Laviolet Nicholas; his children, Rick Tippett (Sue) and Sharon Poquette (Ron); his daughter-in-law Chris Tippett; his grandchildren, Debbie Higgins (Mike), Keith Tippett (Jessica), Scott Richardson (Lynn), Chad Poquette (Sara), Nathan Poquette (Brittany) and Sarah Poquette (Justin); and his sisters, Betty Rands and Dorine Sabol. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
