He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou; his children, James (Dee Dee) of Ironwood, Charles of Hayward, Mark (Julie) of Stillwater, John (Stacy Peterson) of Ironwood, Ann Marie Lorenson-Johnson (Brian) of Superior, Marlene Holden (James) of Iron Belt, Kristine Kalber (Len) of South Bend and Suzanne Landis (David) of Midland; his grandchildren, Artem, Timothy, Michael (Margo), April, Kacie, Josh, Sydnee, Andrew, Ian, Dylan, Jeff and Greg; his sister Karen Sharpe of Las Vegas, Nevada; his sister-in-law Bonnie Barto of Hurley, Wisconsin; his close friends, Steve and Karen Thomas; and his parents-in-law, Peter, Kathy Burns, Dick, Ruth Nast and Mary Annen-Burns. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Charles' name to the local cancer society.
