He is survived by: his wife Melba Gill; his children, Dale Nichols (Terry) of Long Lake, WI, Bruce Nichols (Lisa) of Tipler, WI, Richard Crall (Hilda Garcia) of Longmont, CO., Kenneth Nichols (Darlene Kay) of Norway, MI, Angela Nichols of Iron River, MI, Cheryl Krasowski (Mike) of Iron Mountain, MI and Gina Russell (Scott) of Otsego, MI; his sisters, Sheila Kapusta of Iron River, MI and Audree Erickson of Ontonagon, MI; and his granddaughters, Stephanie Nichols, Melanie Bosch and Jenna Nichols. He is also survived by nine other grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
