She was predeceased by: her father Tracy Wales; her son Scott Allen; and her brother Tracy Wales. She is survived by: her husband Richard; her children, Craig Allen (Trina) of Kingsford and Lynne Pottebaum (Cory) of Salida, CO; and her grandchildren, Jacob Allen (Maressa), Hannah Kostakis (Demetri), Olivia Allen, Emma Allen and Henry Pottebaum.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Shirley's memory.
