It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Kay Shafer of Interlochen, Michigan, who passed away on July 3, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Claude Beatty; her daughter Lisa James; and her brothers, Gerald and Todd Bromley. She is survived by: her husband David W. Shafer; her sister Gloria Watson; and her daughters, Su Councilor and Amy Kozacek (Chris). She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
