He is survived by: his wife Nancy K. Sparks; his stepsons, Dan Chaffee Jr. (DeeAnn) and Tim Chaffee (Jen); and his grandchildren, Matthew, Isaac, Lance, Elyse and Elias. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
