She was predeceased by: her spouse Keith Whittern; her sons, Quentin Whittern and Charles Whittern; her siblings, Dorothy Gilbert, Lila Clark, Coe, Calvin and Don Durling; and her son-in-law Bill Whittern.
She is survived by: her children, Persenia Whittern of Alaska and Coe Whittern (Phyllis) of Alaska. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Sherrill Whittern of Hudson; and three sisters-in-law.
