He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo E. Gibbs and Mary Gibbs (Terrell); and his wife Patricia L. Entrikin. He is survived by: his children, David Gibbs (Macel) of Hudson and Catherine Hephner (Robert) of Hudson; and his brothers, Carl Gibbs (Doris) of San Antonio, TX and John Gibbs (Judy) of Adrian. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 3 great, great grandchildren.

Due to Covid-19 private interment at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hudson has taken place.
