He was predeceased by: his mother Nancy Hill-Mygrants; his stepfather Keith Mygrants; his nephew Bruce Smeltzer Jr.; and his grandparents, Forrest, Melissa Hill, Oliver Fay and Leona Shaw.
He is survived by: his father Glenn E. Shaw; his stepmother Shelby Jean Shaw; his sisters, Althea Bowen (John), Susan Smeltzer (Bruce), Mary Parker (Darrell) and Janet Ballard; and his stepsiblings, Keitha Malaski (John), Lisa Coats (Jason), Shelby Jenks, Brad Smith (Guadlupe), Paul Smith (Myra) and Bruce Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
