He is survived by: his parents, Phyllis Hoppe (Schultz) and Lee Hoppe; his wife Valorie; his children, Ciara Cheney (Brian), Kurtis Cooley (Jordan Holscher), Joseph Hoppe (Skye Jones) and Anna Hoppe (Tobias Edgett); his grandson Theo Cheney; and his siblings, Joe Hoppe and Rene Hoppe.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are encouraged in Mike's honor to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
