Bates of Holly, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on September 5, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Dale and Ida Dale (Bertrand); her husband Gordon Bates; her sons, Stuart Bates (Loretta) and Warren Bates; and her siblings, Blair Dale and Gloria Crawford.
She is survived by: her children, Curtis Bates (Jane) and Laura Spens (Richard); her grandchildren, Matt Bates, Rachel Loutsios, Steven Spens, Cody Bates, Elijah Spens, Sierra Bates, Savannah Bates, Kimberly Spens and Paul Spens; and her brother Gary Dale (Joan). She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
