He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Jane, Ernie Grindstaff, Carl and Mildred Ott; and his stepfather Milton Boerigter.

He is survived by: his wife Kate of Holland; his son Ethan Voss (Kate); his parents, Carolyn Boerigter and Michael Grindstaff; and his parents-in-law, Dave and Pat Voss. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
