He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Bearden and Verla Bearden (Ray); and his siblings, Elaine Bearden and Larry Bearden. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his sons, Tim Bearden (Jamie) and Scott Bearden (Wendy); his grandchildren, Ashley Jackson (Austin), Cole Bearden, Kennedy Bearden and Calihan Bearden; his great grandchild Eliza; and his siblings-in-law, Angie Bearden, Rachel, Mel Evans, Barb and Don Evans. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“I received notification of your father's passing via the Flint Central Alumni Group. Both Tim and Scott were students of mine in the 5th grade at Morrish Elementary in Swartz Creek. I remember your parents as well as the both of you as being a wonderful family as well as great students. I can actually picture both of you as you were back then. So sorry for your loss.
