He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Anderson and Alice Anderson (Alexander); his former wife Joyce Blohm; his son Carl Anderson; and his sisters, Marlene McDonald and Marie Fisk.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Lichner of Hesperia; his children, Laura Ralston of Hesperia, Doug Anderson (Sandy) of Reed City and Ruth Havelka (Dean) of Gladwin; and his siblings, Jim Anderson (Nancy) of Shelby, Karen Peters, Penny Jones (Russell) of Shelby and Mary Austgen of New Era. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; he was loved by his step children; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
