He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Baldwin; his children, April Ewing of Harrison, Marion Ewing of Okemos, Patrick Ewing (Donna) of Iowa, Richard Ralph Ewing Jr. of Harrison and Heidi Lambert (Jay) of Maryland; his grandchildren, Cody Smith, Samantha Smith, Brandy Rich and Joshua Rich; his sisters, Henrietta Roberts of Mason and Judy Kenny of Grand Ledge; and his great-aunt Marion Westra of Allegon.
