He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert Brown Sr. and Alice L. Brown (Hanna); his son James Robert Brown; his granddaughter Shanae Marie Brown; and his sisters, Dorothy Ashcraft and Margaret Legge.
He is survived by: his children, Jan Ashcroft (Joseph) of Harrison and Joseph Brown (Mary Ellen) of Harrison; his grandchildren, Patrick Ashcroft, Joseph Ashcroft Jr. (Joni Ashcroft) and Kayla Brown; his great grandchildren, Haylie Klusack, Triston Klusack Peyton Shepardson, Maddon Shepardson, Kemper Shepardson, Lennox Shepardson, Carter Sproessig, Cameron Ashcroft, Logan Ashcroft and Avery Jean Boulton; and his daughter-in-law Gloria Morse (Ron). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
