With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Salmi of Hancock, Michigan, born in Houghton, Michigan, who passed away on March 2, 2022 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilda Eskelinen and Andrew Eskelinen (Anttila); her husband Wilbert Salmi (Wimpy); and her siblings, Irene Marsic, Martha Paull and Andrew Eskelinen.
She is survived by: her children, Kathryn Salmi of Hancock, Robert Salmi (Linda) of Algoma, WI and Alan Salmi of Evanston, IL; her granddaughters, Kristina Salmi-Klotz (Jason) of Fishcreek, WI and Kerry Salmi of Bryan, TX; and her great grandchildren, Beatrix, Thomas of Fishcreek, WI and Neveah of Bryan, TX. She is also survived by three children and entertaining friends and relatives.
