She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Anttila and Cecelia Anttila (Mikkola); her husband Wilbert J. Keranen; her brother Robert; her sons, David (Connie), Richard (Deborah), Charles (Bridget), Paul (Patricia Fahrner) and John (Lynn); her daughter-in-law Deborah; her grandsons, Gary Gardner and Christopher Keranen; and her great grandchild Jonah Gardner.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Janisse (Mark) of Hubbell, Edith Stark (Dennis) of South Range, Robert (Karan) of Michigamme and Joel (Jennifer Dionne) of Kronenwetter, WI.; and her siblings, E. Ellen Peltola of Baraga, Barbara Walls of Milwaukee and Raymond of Milwaukee. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
