He was predeceased by: his father Maxton "Tiny" Routh Davies, Jr.; his siblings, Maxton Clark Davies (Put) and Susan Marshall Davies; his former wife Margaret Buchanan Davies; and his mother-in-law Mary Belle Reed.
He is survived by: his sons, Stephen R. Davies, Jr. (Rob), John M. Davies (Lidia) of Tallinn, Estonia and Brian P. Davies (Katharina) of Mainz, Germany.; his grandchildren, Maxton, Tess, Lauren, Graham, Alma, Gustav, Thomas and Amanda; his sister Sally Davies Bates (Dennis) of Des Moines, Iowa; his sisters-in-law, Mella Cooks Davies (Put) of Hudson and Sister Ruthanne Reed; and his close friend Grant Keough.
