With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Moran Simmerer of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, who passed away on June 16, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret "Mugs" Moran Simmerer; his sister Susan "Suze" Markland; and his nephew David Markland. He is survived by: his siblings, Martha "Marney" Ramsey (Jim), Daniel Simmerer and MaryAnn Simmerer; his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Hawkins Diephouse (Kyle), Sarah Hawkins, Andrew Lewis and Jake Lewis; his great-nieces, Lily Lewis, Ruby Lewis and Evie Lewis; his great-nephew Frank Lewis; his brother-in-law James Ramsey; and his pet Maggie Mae.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Solanus Casey Center, Attn.
