He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Abraham Swad and Lottie Swad; his spouse Patricia; his children, Lori Pakulski (Jeff), Renae Russell (Steve) and Dana Harris (Christopher); his grandchildren, Adam Pakulski, Brian Pakulski, Allison Russell, Anna Russel, Benjamin Harris and Thomas Harris; and his siblings, Edmond Swad, Eileen Holman, Yvonne Barnard, Kamal Swad and Richard Swad.

Donations may be made in James's memory to the American Red Cross.
