Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Helga Wise (Grosse Pointe, Michigan), born in Hamburg, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 75, on November 10, 2018. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Hans Alfred Bessin of Lexington, KY, Inga Bessin (Guatemala City), Jurgen Bessin (Caracas) and Rolf Bessin of Madison, NJ. She is survived by: her spouse John; her children, Monique (Michael) and Eric (Kim) of Old Greenwhich, CT; her grandchildren, John, Isabelle, Ursula, Annika, Henry and Liam; her stepgrandchildren, Kaitlyn McKee and Tyler McKee (Jacquelyn); and her parents, Ingeborg Blohm Bessin and Alfred Bessin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Helga's honor to either the Detroit Institute of Arts (https://www.dia.org), or The Red Cloud Indian School (https://www.redcloudschool.org), a project supported by her granddaughters, Isabelle and Ursula Wise, since 2013.
