He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian MacDonald and Harry MacDonald; and his wife Carol Beert. He is survived by: his sons, Michael MacDonald (Mary Ann) of Naples, FL, Daniel MacDonald of Alpena, MI and Donald MacDonald (Nanette); and his grandson Johnny Hogan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
