He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Viola; his siblings, Robert, James, Donald, John, Barbara Sponsler and Ann Ordway; his son Thomas R. Powers, Jr.; and his grandson Nathan Thomas Swartz.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Ann; his children, Timothy (Susan), Theodore (Bonnie), Terrance (Carrie), Tammy Swartz (Michael) and Todd (Karen); and his daughter-in-law Sue Alice. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
