He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frances and Garland Scott, Sr.; his children, Christine White (Jamie) of East Lansing, Doug Scott (LaToya) of Jackson, Stephanie Scott of Chicago and Ryan Koch (Coco) of Hawaii; his grandchildren, Derrick, Alexander, Cameron, Hailey, Alexandra, Gilles, Ernie, Sean and Marion; his siblings, Carol Seay of Kentucky, Peggy Hankins (Monnie) of Kentucky and Mark Scott of Baltimore; his former wife Jane Alexander; his brother Aaron Scott; and his brother-in-law Will Seay.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alex Scott Memorial Fund through the Jacksoncf.org (search Alex Scott Memorial).
