He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon; and his parents, Raymond Trapp and Dorothy Trapp. He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Dempster; his grandsons, Alex "Adam" Dempster and Richard Wilcox; his siblings, Helen Bradshaw, Janice Barnett (Vaughn), Tom Wilcox (Fran) and Ron Wilcox (Amy); and his father-in-law Norm Campbell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designation.
