It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marcus Duane Vanderslik (Grandville, Michigan), who passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 39, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Marcus Duane may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his parents, Judy Russell of Grand Rapids and David VanderSlik Sr. of Key West, Florida.; his brother DJ; his sister-in-law Lisa; his sister Janessa Barr; and his grandparents, Duke and Reatha Warsen of Hudsonville. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to honor Marcus's legacy.
