Arlene Doretta Slagh Obituary
Cook Funeral and Cremation ServicesArlene Doretta (nee Paul) Slagh, age 86, went home to see her Lord and Savior Saturday, February 10, 2024. She deeply loved and cared for her family; she enjoyed spending time with them and hosting family gatherings. She was a wonderful cook and baker and enjoyed blessing her family with meals and desserts. Arlene had a naturally positive outlook and loved to compliment and encourage each of her friends and family. She was known for her beautiful and contagious smile which would light up any room. Arlene was a charter member and also a member for over 50 years of Christ Lutheran Church, where she actively served, worshipped, and fellowshipped. She will be missed by family and friends but they rejoice that she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Arlene will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Lyle Slagh of Grandville, MI; children Pam (Jeff) Moore of Grandville, MI, Shari (Jim) Moore of Troy, OH, David (Andrea) Slagh of Muskegon, MI; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Marie Paul and brother, Don Paul.
A private funeral service celebrating Arlene's life will be held Monday, February 12, 2024 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. In memory of Arlene and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Georgetown and Cambridge Manor of Grandville, MI.
