He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Marie Brisbin; his parents, Zelda Mendricks and Glen Phelps; his stepfather Jack Mendricks; and his siblings, Denton, David, Gloria and Sally.
He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Phelps. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
