He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Sabo and Clara Sabo (Schmaltz); his siblings, Judy Olechnowicz, Sally Ralya, James Sabo and Rudy Sabo; and his brothers-in-law, Les Ralya and Richard Olechnowicz.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Sabo of Grand Haven; his sons, Shirley Haubrich, Mike Sabo (Denise) of Grand Haven and Torn Sabo (Holly) of Fruitport; his stepchildren, Marie Banner (Brandon) of Norton Shores and Donovan Potter of Muskegon; his grandchildren, Forrest (Rachel), Payton, Jordan, Sara, Bryelle, Jordyn, Landon, Bodhi, Lyla, Novalee and Nashton; his great grandchildren, Talan and Kinsley; and his sister-in-law Arlene Sabo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
