He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Meinel and Anita Meinel (Rainey); his wife Sharon Wilma Marshall; and his brother Fred Meinel. He is survived by: his children, Dawn Meinel of Grand Haven and Richard Meinel of Grand Haven; his sisters, Pat Meinel and Penny Trowbridge (Jim); and his sisters-in-law, Sandy Meinel, Kittie Fritz (Chuck), Alma DesJardins (Dick) and Marylou Thompson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
