She was predeceased by: her siblings, Teresa Emory and Robin Kruzel (Downs); her mother Dorothy Smith; and her stepfather Robert Smith. She is survived by: her husband Leon Staples; her brothers, Dan Emory, Joseph Emory, Randall Smith and Richard Smith; her son James Carl Sokolowski Sr.; and her friend James. She is also survived by her 22 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
