She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Tanis and Doris Tanis (Dykman); her husband Bern; and her siblings, Les, Gilbert, Alvin, Jerry, Pauline and Donna.
She is survived by: her sons, Ronald Lauritzen (Marilyn) of Fremont, Gary Lauritzen (Janna) of Grand Haven and Kevin Lauritzen (Tina) of Allendale; her great grandchildren, Julie (Dale) and Norris; her grandchildren, Lisa (Steve), Arcello, Steve (Emily), Matthew (Emily), Kasey (Karol), Szlachta (Stanley), Korey (David), Holliday, Cam (Maggie), Jividen (Cayson), Andy Lauritzen and Meghan Zeldenrust (James); her sisters, Evelyn Harmon and Charlotte Andrews; and her sisters-in-law, Joyce Tanis and Eldora Gibbie. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
