He was predeceased by: his parents, Maver Nick and Susie Hendrie (Barnett); his siblings, Harold, Charlie, Chester, Bessie Goetsch, Grace Derks and Fay Bolles; and his siblings-in-law, Lillian Smith, John Goetsch, Max Derks, Sonny Bolles, Ed Dean and Thad Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Kay Smith of Fremont; his children, Mike (Vicki) of Rockford, Greg (Carol) of Fremont and Jennifer Kauffman (Tyler) of Muskegon; his grandchildren, Erin, Elizabeth, Kayla, Cameron, Tucker and Rylee; his great grandchild Raven; his siblings, Jim Hendrie (Norma), Marty Radillo (Ralph), Judy Dean (John) and Barb Dean; and his brother-in-law Jon Carl Smith (Sandy).
