It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip Scherzer (Freeland, Michigan), who passed away on February 8, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Scherzer and Anna Scherzer (Sokola); his grandson Brandon; and his sisters, Betty and Dolly.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Raines; his son Michael (Kris); his granddaughter Libby (Spencer); his brothers, Eugene (JoAnne) and Ray; and his brother-in-law Jack (Jacque). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Zion Lutheran Church, Freeland, Hunt of a Lifetime Foundation or the donor's favorite charity.
