We are sad to announce that on April 4, 2020, at the age of 77, Kathleen Spern (Freeland, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William D. Higgins and Georgia E. Higgins (Duval); and her siblings, Joyce Cauglin, Mary Grasel and Charles Higgins.
She is survived by: her spouse Francis "Frank" Spern; her granddaughters, Marge E. Fuller of Saginaw and Kaitlin E. Fuller of Royal Oak; her daughter Karen Janka (Emily); her grandchildren, Juliet Grillot and Dorothy Edson of Washington, DC.; and her siblings, Helen Annetta, Michael Higgins (Christine) and Doug Higgins.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider in her faithful companions name, Shadow, who preceded her to the Humane Society of Saginaw County, Inc. or the donor's favorite charity.
