He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred E. Bartels and Augusta Bartels (Zeismer); his wife June A. Sonnenberg; his brothers, LeRoy, Louis and Robert; and his grandson-in-law Donald Nelson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Beverly Nobis (Lloyd) and Janet Beyer; and his grandchildren, Christine Nelson, Brenda Tuggle (Aaron), Stephanie Resio (Ricardo), Kevin Nobis (Brendi), Stacy Yonan (Keith), Benjamin Beyer (Kathi) and Joanna Lehman (David). He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
