He was predeceased by: his parents, William Irwin and Neva Irwin (Fralick); and his siblings, Suzanna Swaddling and James Irwin. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Irwin; his daughters, Connie Tremain (Larry) and Carri Curtis; his grandsons, Brent Tremain (Tania), Ryan Tremain (Erin), Dustin Irwin (Laurin) and Sean Curtis (Amanda Leiner); his great grandchild Katijah; his sister Dorothy Watts; his brothers-in-law, Jack and Dick Harris; and his friend Chris Harris. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
