He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Ruhstorfer; his siblings, William, Edward Ruhstorfer and Lois Hardesty; and his son-in-law Robby Merchant.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ruhstorfer; his children, Keith Ruhstorfer, Ken Ruhstorfer (Julianne), Lori Merchant and Amy McDowell (Marty); his grandchildren, Sarah Ruhstorfer (Cory Gehrold), Patrick Fergerson (Cassie), Matthew Fergerson (Casey), Andrew Fergerson, Aynsley Fergerson, Christopher Merchant (Samantha), Craig Merchant (Brian Piacentini), Ian McDowell, Megan McDowell and Joseph McDowell; and his great grandchildren, Blake, Ameila, Isaac, Jude, Miriam, Madden, Poppie and Penelope.
