He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Porter and Bernice May Thomas (Cook); his wife Eleanor Hoffman; his daughter Sandy (Larry Crandell); his son-in-law Larry Gregory; his grandchildren, Joshua Thomas Crandell (Junyan), Drew Adam Crandell (Janna) and Elizabeth Eleanor Gregory (Dan Doelker); his great grandchild Claire Ding Crandell; and his daughter Nancy Elizabeth Gregory.
