He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William A. Hazlewood and Mollie C. Hazlewood (Pond); his wife Shirley A. Dahl; his son Michael (Dahnell); his brother-in-law Rod Dahl (Ione); and his daughter Jean. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
